Man, this is a crazy hack. This snow-rain was invented for the original q2. For me any translucent level surface- distorts all that behind.

man it was my resolution settings i changed it down to 1024 768 or whatever lowest one was and it ran pretty smooth!

i had it on desktop resolution which is same i use in q2pro thats where it felt sluggish.

1gb video? Turn on texture compression in video menu. Next.. Radial blur so very easy for old video cards, but dof, motion blur and ssao is killer features.

I noticed if I use the snd_restart it fixes my sounds, but I think for ALL players it plays my sounds on my end.  I was definitely hearing homer (I use the homer model) when I wasn't jumping/falling/shooting/etc.   plus sometimes when the other player fired it did firing FX from my end.  IE bullet shells flying out of my rail gun, but I'm not even pulling the trigger.

for me, when I hit "custom" for resolution it did "r_mode 10".  no clue why.  :?

yes i know this  :oops:
q2xp based orient on single player and i cant free time for fix multiplayers bugs  :frustration:

1st: when you begin a game, and a map name is displayed on your console type snd_restart to restart the sound that should fix it
2nd: to add a custom resolution, you have to fill out the r_customheight and r_customwidth commands, then set the r_mode or gl_mode (haven't tried it yet) to -1

there some trick to getting the high-res weapon model pak to work with q2xp?  Doesn't work for me, but if I run r1q2 it shows.  :?

q2xp is sweeeeeet looking.  :D
repack to zip and rename to q2xp3.pkx
Also, I found a bug, the female and cyborg sounds don't work...
oh yes its old sound engine bug (try snd_restart)
